We’ve been in our home for a little more than two months now. And I think we’ve officially completed all major projects. I have a few trees to plant this week and have to figure out how to put blinds up in the master bedroom, but other than that we’re done. My brother-in-law has been asking for pictures since we moved in, and I’ve been holding them hostage to get him up here. But I’ll throw in the towel and share them now. Thank you to everyone that helped us in the work…especially Grandpa Ash and our amazing contractor now known only as “Uncle Dave.”

Brodie and I would be more than happy to come and live with you as Russ’ friends and Eli’s Nanny (and Nanny’s helper). What a gorgeous house. You should really submit some of these before and after pictures to HGTV or something like that. Amazing.
The kitchen is great. Sometimes I dream about opening up my kitchen more to the dining room (though it already has a “bar” area and a pass-through to the living room), but as that is where my stove is, I don’t think another window right by the stove is a great idea. (I have visions of sleeves going up in flames as I put a dish up on the shelf over my stove….)
Your bedroom looks so light and airy, but somehow also cozy at the same time – that’s not that easy to achieve. It looks like a fantastic house for Eli to call his childhood home. And while I’m clearly getting ahead of myself, I can totally imagine the two of you retiring there and having your kids and grandkids visit for the holidays. Ok…enough day dreaming. (awww…but it’s so fun!!)
