Welcome to the family, Eli.
You came a little early. We were expecting you on November 3rd, and betting on Halloween, but you came calling last Friday while your mom was finishing up her day at work. After the most exhausting and exciting night of our lives, you poked your head out at 7:30am Saturday morning. You looked a bit like me when I came into the world 30 years ago, but your mom thinks you have her mouth.
We’ve been with you for over a week now. You watched the Yankees win a Pennant behind CC Sabathia, Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. You watched the NY Giants lose terribly two weekends in a row. For the record, we did NOT name you after Eli Manning! You’ve met 6 grandparents, 3 uncles, 4 aunts, and 3 cousins. You met your older brother Russert, and he already licked your face. He’s a bit confused by the noise you make at 3am, but seems to really like you. Last night you celebrated your grandmother’s birthday, wearing a pumpkin costume for your first Halloween.
We’re looking at you on the sofa right now. You’re sleeping on your mom’s belly and Russert is sleeping on my toes. We feel pretty lucky to have you and can’t wait for what’s to come.

you save my week! You should also put some video on youtube too!
Eli is so small, so cute, so similar to Ethan but a little cuter.
How many hours does he sleep? He eats well?
How Rachel survives pains?
I have tans of questions and looking forward to next post.
Congratulations!
