Watched Rachel Getting Married this weekend, and (my Rachel) and I both liked it. Between the directing and the acting, it’s one of the most personal movies I’ve seen in a while. And I was never an Anne Hathaway fan, but she was great in this movie and definitely should have beaten Penelope Cruz for best actress at the Oscars. UPDATE: Anne wasn’t up against Penelope. Oh well. But if she was, she should have beaten her.

Pen-a-lope Crooz won an Oscar!? Was she playing a duck?

That would have been tough to beat Penelope Cruz, since they were nominated in different categories.
But glad to hear it’s a good flick. This is on my list. Still gotta get through five seasons of The Wire, too.

I’ve always like Hathaway’s work… this one looked a little too whiny, but good to know you thought it was good! Might try it out after all.

Well, Ash, I always thought you and I had similar taste in Movies. Most of the time I guess, but this would be a big exception to the rule. Couldn’t even finish it.

The messiness that goes with genuinely flawed and complex people is what makes the film ring so true and cut so deep. Nice Review, check out mine when you can!
